Adoption Journeys

Coming Full Circle, The Towery Adoption Story

adopted children

Our story begins like many others…we struggled for years to have children of our own. Finally we were blessed with a beautiful daughter born in April 2002. And even though God had blessed us with a biological child of our own, we still wanted more children. We discussed adoption on numerous occasions but struggled with all of the different aspects it entailed (financial & emotional).

Our decision to adopt was not taken lightly – we researched many different agencies and different countries/programs before we finally selected LMI and the Kazakhstan program. It was not a decision we once regretted. From the beginning, LMI has been professional, knowledgeable and courteous in our journey to bring our child home.

Now, we have come full circle. Thanksgiving 2005 we first informed our families that we were adopting and had just started the preliminary paperwork. We also told everyone we had hoped to have the new member of our family with us by the next Thanksgiving; little did we know I would arrive home with our “little miracle” – Owen, exactly 2 days before Thanksgiving 2006.

Now our family is complete and we are truly blessed with two beautiful, healthy children.

Cassidy went with Mom and Dad to Kazakhstan to meet her baby brother. Bonding as a family started at the babyhouse, and carries right through to days at the beach.

We could not have done this without all of the help from the LMI staff. (A very special thank you to Andrea and the coordinators in Almaty.) You will always have a special place in our hearts!
