"What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like." ~~St. Augustine 354-430, Numidian-born Bishop of Hippo, Theologian~~

Staff Bio
Name:Amanda Kniep

My name is Amada Kniep, and I am so excited to be working with Little Miracles in a capacity of a volunteer.

Now a little about me. I am from a small town in central Illinois, but let me tell you, adoption is a big thing where I’m from. I was brought up knowing many adoptive families in my church and as I grew up, adoption always seemed a very obvious answer to how I would add to my future family. I just needed to find a husband who agreed! When I met my husband Brad, I knew it was meant to be because wouldn't you know it, he wanted to adopt too! Well, we got married and not too long after, our son Josiah was born. Then, two years later (birthdays 3 days apart) our daughter Novea was born. We were so blessed to have these two kids, but we knew it was time to move forward with adoption.

After researching for years (and I mean years!) I came across Little Miracles, and within a couple emails and one phone call, I knew this was the agency for us. After loads of paperwork and hours of phone calls, we brought home an adorable little 4 year old girl from the Democratic Republic of Congo, who we named Kendi. She has been a perfect fit for our family, despite my fears of adopting an “older” child, I couldn't imagine life without her! God always knows what he’s doing and has a perfect plan for our lives!

Now things can get a little crazy in our house, having a 5, 4 and 3 year old running around, but years of being a nanny and a large amount of coffee have prepared me for this life!
